Abstract: Deviant behaviour among secondary school students is exhibited in all schools across the world. Being adolescents, secondary school students tend to experiment a lot and as a result they often find themselves on the wrong side of the law sometimes not knowing how. A child’s behaviour is modeled at home by the parents or the primary caregivers whose parental behaviour also depends on other factors. Some of these factors include family socioeconomic status. Parents who experience a lot of economic strain find it difficult to create a friendly parenting environment at home and consequently the attachment between the parent and the child is ensnared and this further contributes negatively to the behaviour of the child. The consequences of deviant behaviour may be devastating. They may include; destruction of property, early pregnancy, HIV and aids infection, school dropout and even death. The objective of this study was; to determine the mediative role of family socioeconomic status in the relationship between parental attachment and deviant behaviour among secondary school students in Homa bay County. The study was guided by parental attachment theory by John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth which provided a conceptual link between parental attachment and deviance together with structural strain theory by Robert Merton which provided a conceptual link between socioeconomic status and parental attachment. The study used a correlational design and the target population included all the form two students from Homa bay County. From a population of 20,160 students a sample of 512 students was randomly selected to take part in the study. The principals, deputies, HODs, and PA representatives were purposively sampled. Data was collected through questionnaires, structured and unstructured interviews, focus group discussions and analysis of documents. The validity of the instruments was ascertained by experts and through piloting while the reliability was tested using the split half method and the level of confidence was α ≤ 0.05. Data was analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively. The findings revealed a very strong significant correlation between SES and parental attachment (r =.714). The study recommends that the County government of Homa bay should come up with effective poverty eradication measures in order to improve the living standards of the families in Homa bay County. The study also recommends that the county government of Homa bay should introduce free and active adult education in the County and build such centers within the county.

Abstract: The quality of higher education is decided by the quality of college teachers, among whom young teachers undertake a vital role for its sustainable development. Taken this into consideration, this paper aims to reveal the current situations of the tutorial system for young teachers at independent colleges in China through SPSS analyses to verify the necessity and efficacy of applying such a tutorial system, resolve the problem of “insufficient experience in teaching though having a fair understanding of theories” among young teachers, and promote the healthy development of young teachers at tertiary-level education. Results indicate that the tutorial system encounters three difficulties: (1) the young teachers do not recognize the value of and lack of initiatives for participating the tutorial system, (2) their tutors do not function effectively mainly due to the short of collaborations among tutors, and (3) the system itself lacks of professional evaluations. As counter-measures, the paper proposes that the college administration should (1) foster a culture for teacher professional development and expand the influence of the tutorial system for young teachers, (2) provide concrete supportive measures and monitor the whole process of implementing the tutorial system; (3) perfect the evaluation of the tutorial system and highlight formative evaluations from the tutors; (4) offer more thorough plans to direct the development of the tutorial system; and (5) perfect the make-up of the tutors and utilize modern information technologies for the tutorial system.

Abstract: The concept of communication principle course is abstract, complex and systematic. In addition, most students are weak in mathematical foundation, which results in the unsatisfactory effect of experimental teaching. In this paper, MATLAB is introduced into the experiment teaching of communication principle. Students use MATLAB to simulate the theory of communication principle, which to a certain extent increases students' understanding and digestion of communication principle knowledge, and greatly improves students' enthusiasm. At present, students majoring in Computer Science in Wuhan University of science and technology only use MATLAB simulation platform to complete the traditional experiment teaching, which leads to the failure to achieve the purpose of experiment teaching. The rapid development of micro course promotes the innovation of education reform. Flipped classroom reverses the teaching sequence of knowledge transfer and knowledge internalization, which is an innovation of traditional teaching mode. This paper aims at the lack of communication principle experiment box and other hardware experiment environment for computer major students of Wuhan University of science and technology in elective course of communication principle, and they only use MATLAB simulation platform to complete traditional experiment teaching. In the process of teaching reform of communication principle experiment course, this paper makes full use of micro course and MATLAB simulation software, and puts forward the flipped classroom teaching mode of micro course combined with MATLAB communication principle experiment. The teacher combines the theory and experimental content of the experimental course with "PPT + Voice explanation + MATLAB simulation results", and shares them to the students in the form of micro class video before class. From the final effect analysis, this teaching mode effectively enhances students' autonomous ability, cultivates students' interest, and improves students' experimental results.

Abstract: In order to cultivate innovative talents, the research group takes the reform of the training mode of mechanical innovative talents as the focus, integrating innovation and entrepreneurship competition and scientific research into the daily professional teaching, so as to construct a new trinity education mode named ‘three competitions, three training and three combinations’. On the basis of this model, starting from the concept of ‘case-based, project-based and problem-based’, we focus on cultivating student's critical thinking, and adopts a variety of teaching methods such as flipped classroom, divided classroom, online and offline as well as in-class and out-of-class, so as to achieve teaching interaction in a real sense. It achieves the unification of professional teaching, scientific research training and innovation and entrepreneurship education. Through the means of reform and examination, student's various abilities are evaluated from multiple perspectives and from multiple directions, which can objectively reflect student's learning situation and student's engineering application ability, so that student's innovation ability and comprehensive quality have been improved. In addition, the innovation and entrepreneurship thinking training and innovation competition results are introduced into the implementation of the teaching reform to provide new ideas and new ways for the cultivation of innovative and high-quality talents in colleges and universities.

Abstract: Objective: In this study to explore the relationships between learning adaptability and mental health of Wuhan college students during the epidemic period. Methods: This study was conducted among Wuhan college students in the form of questionnaire, with 484 valid data collected and processed by SPSS24.0 software. Descriptive statistics, independent-sample T-test, single factor analysis of variance, correlation analysis and regression analysis were adopted for this study. Results: (i) The learning adaptability of Wuhan college students was in the general level. (ii) These three variables, sex, region, grade, had no significant effect on learning adaptability. (iii) Learning adaptability was positively correlated with cognitive function, positive emotions and mental health while it was significantly negatively correlated with psychological symptoms and negative emotions. (iv) Eight percent change of learning adaptability (LA) could be interpreted by positive emotions (PE), cognitive function (CF) as well as psychological symptoms and negative emotions (PS&NE). The formula for the relationship was: LA=1.55+0.06*CF+0.10*PE-0.05*PS&NE. Conclusion: College students’ learning adaptability which is not correlated with sex, region or grade, but highly related with mental health, is in the general level.

Abstract: The outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020 has brought unprecedented challenges to school education, but it has also brought new opportunities to online education. How to quickly switch from the traditional classroom to online live class, how to organize the construction and teaching implementation of online courses, how to make use of high-quality teaching resources to quickly build online courses, and how to guarantee the teaching quality of online courses are all urgent problems to be solved in the development of online teaching in the emergency period. Taking the construction and teaching of practical network technology as an example, this paper describes how to use the high quality training resources of cooperation between schools and enterprises to build a new type of online Blending Learning mode of course certificate fusion. As the goal of the course, the online video learning resource library is built by enterprise training video. Through students' online autonomous learning and knowledge point learning summary through the form of thinking map, teachers' online interactive live explanation, answering questions and evaluation at a fixed time can better control the teaching quality of the course, and carry out experimental operation training and consolidation exercises after class. From the current course operation, the course really realizes the student-centered learning, and the teaching effect is good.
