Abstract: Knitted garment design requires a variety of knitting techniques to create its unique aesthetic. The knitting pattern formed by the collection of loops and the contrast of sparseness and density is one of the important ways to expand the knitted garment design methods. The author combines his own research on knitted garment design methods and knitting techniques, starting from the relationship between sparseness and compactness, sparseness and compactness structure and expression, and starting from observation, reflection and analysis of "sparse and dense modeling techniques", starting from the concept of sparse and dense modeling techniques, and summarizing the characteristics of sparse and dense modeling techniques in knitted garments through practice. For example, stretch-induced characteristics, characteristics caused by rolled edge, characteristics caused by dispersion and Characteristics caused by anti-wrinkle properties. We also discuss the visual and tactile aspects of dense shaping, relying on the garment itself, we combine color, yarn, organization and silhouette to form a practical sparse shape with visual aesthetics. And its irregular tactile effects and innovations. Explore the role of dense shaping in knitwear design, such as enriching the design of knitted patterns and styles, and improving aesthetic value, in order to provide some references for knitwear designers to establish a concrete link between design and technology. The development of traditional craftsmanship and the use of new modern technologies have given room for the application of sparse and dense modeling concepts and the study of knitting techniques. It provides some references for knitwear designers to establish specific links between design and process.

Abstract: Traditional popular culture and all its components play an important role in the comprehensive general education of the new generations. This article exposes the results of research aimed at promoting the popular traditional Cuban dances Cha Cha chá, Pilón, and Mozambique , among the 8th-grade students of the Conrado Benítez Mixed Center, in Cifuentes, in Cuba. The diagnostic study carried out found insufficient knowledge, in said schoolchildren, about traditional Cuban popular dances. The empirical methods used in the research were: document analysis, participant observation, surveys, interviews, and group techniques. The diagnosis of needs prepared and its analysis allowed the design and development of workshops aimed at the objective of the study. Which had as fundamental characteristics that they were in correspondence to the age of the schoolchildren, stimulated the practice of the proposed dances, and, above all, that motivated the taste for them Its evaluation validated the effectiveness of the developed workshop system for the promotion of traditional dances. The results achieved confirm the need to revitalize and promote traditional popular culture in the comprehensive education of Cuban children, adolescents, and youth. Based on this need, the use of didactic means allowed the acquisition and implementation of the knowledge achieved, by the students, in participatory events of the school and the surrounding community.

Abstract: Music is a means of communication and a representation of ideas, especially among Africans. The transmission of cultural beliefs from one generation to the next is facilitated by music. Music and poetry in general have been employed in traditional African civilization to unite the people, arouse their consciousness toward a liberalizing of their minds, and occasionally to adopt revolutionary methods against their oppressors. In this sense, music has served as a socialization and liberating instrument in modern society. The social realities of the average person continue to be reflected in the songs of contemporary musicians. Segun Akinlolu, better known by his stage name Beautiful Nubia, is one such musician who has employed his music as a powerful tool for informing and organizing the populace. Nigerian musician Beautiful Nubia is well-known for delving into the Yoruba cultural roots to depict the plight of the average man. As it is typical for some well-known Yoruba popular musicians to sing about “big guys” and “wealthy people”, as far as we are aware, Beautiful Nubia has never praised the powerful in any of his songs. Instead, Beautiful Nubia has persisted in using his songs as a tool to inform the general public about their conditions. To this end, this paper investigates the numerous distinctions among the various social groups as they are depicted in some selected songs from Beautiful Nubia. The Binary structure, a component of struturalist theory that contends that society is organized around oppositional structures such as rich vs poor, haves versus have-nots, etc., serves as the theoretical foundation for this paper. The study comes to the conclusion that music is a powerful tool for enlightening and liberating the masses.

Abstract: The paper attempts to examine, under the conditions of the war against Russia, the highly relevant question of the relationship between the ongoing Ukrainian war-influenced nation-building process and the nation’s art practices. The latter are considered by the authors to be of utmost importance as both the reflection of the former and, at the same time, as something that can influence it, thus, possibly slightly changing or altering the overall shape that the Ukrainian nation, which is being born, will take. It is suggested that imagination plays a major role as something that allows one to go beyond liberalism’s utilitarian or deterministic understanding of a nation. Accordingly, an artist is called someone who can, at least hypothetically, overcome a double limitation — that of processes of globalization and standardization of art market products and, on the other hand, total conditioning by the past of the nation. The Ukrainian nation is considered as a project in the process of making, an important role in which could be played by the artist’s imagination, relatively less determined by tangible parameters and determinants. In accordance with this statement, numerous examples are provided of how artists of modern Ukraine interpret, in the languages of different styles and genres of art, the ongoing war and the changes caused by it in the collective imagination of the Ukrainian nation, the process of formation of which continues. Using the "world-system", according to I. Wallerstein, method of comparative epistemology, the authors of the article prove the possibility and the effectiveness of studying the cultural habitus of Ukraine from the standpoint of transcendental aesthetics.

Abstract: In 1412, Zhu Di, the emperor of Ming dynasty, built the Nanking porcelain pagoda to construct the legitimacy of his rule and build a sense of national identity between Han and Tibetan. This paper bases on the porcelain pagoda’s new Chinese pagoda style, analyze and conclude the construction system of it from visual, craft and production perspective. Through methodologies of literature analysis, comparative study, and physical research, this paper holds the opinion that visually, the porcelain pagoda is the representative of the feudal political culture of Ming Dynasty, technically, the building of the porcelain pagoda continued the tenon and mortise structure of traditional Chinese wooden structures, yet due to the physical properties of ceramics, which are hard, fragile, and difficult to adjust once fired, its modular precision was forced to be further improved. Therefore, I contend that the mass production of glazed ceramics in Ming dynasty is the craft reaching perfection instead of the development of technology. Despite that the ruler at that time used strict management to control craftsmen, using division of labour and regional coordination to realize the mass production of glazed ceramics, Ming was still unable to achieve industrialization. To search to the bottom, The reason that Western used machines to replace human was to enlarge profit and lower the cost of labour. On contrary, the glazed ceramics industry in Ming dynasty was not people- oriented.

Abstract: In this research, the performance of Arthur Rubinstein, the Polish pianist, and Vladimir Samoylovich Horowitz, the Russian pianist, from the Fantasies Impromptu by Frédéric François Chopin (Op. 66) by was compared. As one of these pianists is trained in Russian School of Piano Playing and the other is trained in Poland – Chopin birthplace, comparing the performance of these two pianists plays an important role to comprehend this piece performing better. Problem expression, the importance of this research, the goals and the hypothesis are considered in introduction. Also, some points were mentioned about the Fantasies Impromptu opus 66. In chapter 1, we analyzed the way of playing piano by Horowitz, the features of Russian School of Piano Playing, and the viewpoint of the pianists trained in this School toward the music in Romantic Period especially the Chopin’s works. In chapter 2, we analyzed the way of playing piano by Arthur Rubinstein. Then, his viewpoint toward Chopin’s works was stated. We also considered the music in Europe to know well about these two pianists and their visions, based on their nationality. In chapter 3, we represented some records of the performance of these two pianists from Fantasies Impromptu opus 66. Next, we analyzed the version of Fantasies Impromptu published by Fontana and also, the manuscript by Chopin which was published by Arthur Rubinstein. This is because the difference of performing these two versions by Arthur Rubinstein is rather effective which is considered next. Thereafter, each parts of Fantasies Impromptu opus 66 was analyzed based on the performance techniques of these two pianists. At last, the conclusion was presented to answer the research questions and the goals. For example, there was a difference in performing the start and the ending part by these two pianists which was analyzed in this research. The research was done in descriptive – analytic method and the data were gathered by library method.

Abstract: The modern movement in design did not emerge from non-existence but has been the result of constant and significant development in the new construction methodologies that are followed by many, such as the ones focused on nature that have regular or irregular construction systems which are superimposed or grids. As well as others that are aligned with the role and aesthetic value that distinguishes each element from one another, one such grid structure is evident in the dragonfly wing. This structure was one of the most important sources for Voronoi Diagrams that enables the dividing of surfaces and spaces in an unconventionally engineered method. Therefore, the designs were implemented using the real color combinations that belong to the external appearance of a dragonfly in nature that has always provided a wealth of examples, as it is the source and backbone of the study. Nature is the first tutor for man and the source from which every artist has adopted their fine artistic values through direct observation and analysis of its elements which he observed and formulated through his own and diverse method. After the study of the morphology of the dragonfly the researcher has foreseen that the utilization of the true colors of the external appearance of the dragonfly and Voronoi diagrams as a structure will enrich the designing experience and offer the designer new and innovative solutions.
