Abstract: The study was designed to investigate the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and the gender and age of Basic Electricity students in Technical College in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. The study adopted a correlational research design. The area of study was Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. A total of 291 National Technical College year II students offering Basic Electricity, comprising 229 males and 62 females, took part in the study. Three research questions and two hypotheses tested at05 level of significance guided the study. The study adopted Mangal Emotional Intelligence Inventory (MEII). A pilot study was conducted and the reliability testing of the instrument (MEII) being a multiple choice type test was carried out with the use of split half reliability and a reliability coefficient of 0.78 was obtained. Data collected were analyzed using Pearson product moment correlation to answer the research question and t-test was used to test the hypotheses. Findings revealed that Emotional Intelligence relates positively to the gender of Basic Electricity students; it also revealed that gender not age was positively correlated to Emotional Intelligence. It was therefore recommended teachers should be trained to be Emotional Intelligent in order to be aware of students’ emotions bringing about better educational outcomes, so that technical college students graduates can be equipped with such affective skills that are useful both in their academics and work of life.

Abstract: The purpose of the study was to investigate the extent to which the content of freehand cutting and patternmaking are covered in the Senior High Schools (SHSs). All clothing students enrolled in the clothing and textiles option of the Home Economics programme at the University of Cape Coast for the 2015/2016 academic year were used for the study. A questionnaire was used to collect the needed information. The data for the study were analysed with the help of descriptive statistics. Results of the study indicate that although what freehand cutting means together with its advantages and disadvantages are being taught in Ghanaian SHSs, very few students are exposed to the practical skill of freehand cutting. The results also show that although attention is paid to drafting of basic blocks very little attention is given to adaptations for various designs. At the West African Certificate examinations level although questions are set on the skill of patternmaking no questions are set on the practical aspect of freehand cutting. It is suggested that much attention is given to the teaching of freehand cutting at SHS. In addition, more books on freehand cutting should be written to encourage its teaching at the SHS levels in Ghana.

Abstract: This article focus on the current situation, problems and suggestions of energy law education in china. We can summarizes some main problems in China's energy law education by comparing the development of energy law education between China and foreign countries in terms of student cultivation, curriculum schedule, university teaching staff, academic research, and public participation. In order to overcome the difficulties in China's energy law education and comply with China's "double first-class" construction and higher education's connotative development requirements, China's energy law education measures include four aspects. First, China must create a "first-class" teaching staff team. Second, China should cultivate innovative, applied, and integrated development energy law students. Third, China should use journals, research centers, and seminars to enhance academic research. Fourth, the Chinese government at all levels, universities, energy industry, energy practitioners, industry associations, and the public should play important roles in achieving co-governance of energy law education.

The results showed that: the influence of tiered training and self regulated learning (SRL) on pedagogic competence of the early childhood teachers in North Maluku Province. Teachers with a high level of self regulated learning (SRL) suitable to follow the advanced training of early childhood, where the requirement for advanced training is higher than the basic training and PAUD SKB training. Thereby to improve pedagogic competence, teachers should follow the tiered training, but take notice to teacher's level of SRL.

Abstract: Vocational education and training (VET) in Kenya has undergone major changes since colonialists introduced it at the beginning of the twentieth century. Since then, VET has evolved in the areas of science, technology and innovation to provide more skills, which are expected to serve the needs of the labour market and propel the country to middle-level industrialised status by the year 2030. However, current training and development (T&D) processes in Kenya have been criticised for being rigid and irrelevant to the industry, creating a mismatch of skills produced by the training institutions and those demanded by the industry; it is upon this criticism that this research is built. The focus of this paper is the development of a more responsive and relevant T&D model for the VET sector. In Kenya VET is referred to as technical, industrial, vocational education and training—TIVET. To develop a national T&D model, this paper examined a generic organisational T&D model. Then, through an examination of literature dealing with VET sub-systems in Kenya and elsewhere, the organisational T&D was expanded to include relevant national training areas and activities. The requisite areas were identified from reports, academic papers and a combination of both.

Abstract: Classical learning in an engineering educational environment presents problems for most of students to understand in practice some engineering methodologies, especially lean manufacturing. Lean is a philosophy initiated by Toyota to eliminate waste, organize workplace and procedures to enhance productivity. The current paper compares efficiency between classical teaching method and learning by doing pedagogic process. The purpose is to propose a new manufacturing educational model based on previous works and return of experiments. A case study is established to support proposed model by measuring training efficiency and students’ creativity compared to classical educational tools. Future researches could use the proposed model in other educational fields.

Abstract: Most Nigerian youths are faced with several problems such as unemployment, poverty, hunger and starvation in spite of the abundant natural and human resources in Nigeria. These unwholesome effects could be minimized when the youths are meaningfully engaged. One of the ways of engaging the youth meaningfully to minimize these unwanted situations is to ensure job creation through Technical and Vocational Education (TVE). Technical and Vocational Education (TVE) which is the form of education that is meant to prepare its recipients for employment and become economically independent, should be used to impart skill acquisition to the youths to minimize the rate of unemployment of the youths in Nigeria. Developing youths with skills would definitely improve production output, occupational diversity and standard of living. This study therefore examines the role of the TVE in relation to youth empowerment and proffers strategies for revitalization of the TVE programmes to enhance youth engagement in order to reduce unemployment, poverty, hunger and starvation of the youths in Nigeria.
