Abstract: In this paper, two types of point contact and line contact of spiral cylindrical gear transmission pair are studied and analyzed. The influences of the axis parallelism error and the center distance error on the contact area are analyzed. The numerical example shows that the line-contact transmission pair has larger contact area if the installation error is not considered. By using MATLAB software and simulation example, the influence of axis parallelism on contact area and meshing performance of spiral cylindrical gears under different error conditions are obtained.

Abstract: Over last few decades international remittances are playing a vital role in the socio-economic development of the developing countries like Bangladesh. Remittance contributes not only in household level but also in community and national level of a country. Although many studies have been carried out on poverty, growth, inequality, unemployment impact of remittances, impact of international remittances on education and health in Bangladesh has not been studied yet. Therefore, this study explores the impact of international remittances on education and health in Bangladesh. In achieving the objective, the study uses primary data collected from 396 households and applies both statistical and econometric methods. Firstly, the study uses statistical approach to bring to light the core scenario of education and health conditions of the households. Secondly, the study separately applies linear regression model estimated through OLS method to examine the impact of international remittances on education and health. The study finds that international remittances have negative and significant impact on education while international remittances have positive and significant on health. This paper finds that if the households receive remittance, the per capita expenditure on health may be increased by Tk. 4817.39 and the per capita expenditure on education may be decreased by Tk. 1020.67. Therefore, the study suggests government and non-government organizations nursing international remittances to improve households’ health.

Abstract: Industrial accidents in recent years, particularly in the 1980s, have contributed significantly to the attention of government authorities, industry and society as a whole, in order to seek mechanisms to prevent such episodes that compromise safety of people and the quality of the environment. Currently one of the most discussed topics in various industries is process safety. Not all hazards and risks are the same or can have the same consequences. Process hazards and risks can cause major accidents, involving the release of potentially hazardous materials, fires, and explosions, or both. Accident studies have shown that equipment malfunctions are one of the major causes of unexpected and undesirable events, and so the inspection has been a technique to examine the actual condition of equipment exposed to corrosion damage mechanisms. One of the outputs from the inspection process is the observation of which damage mechanism is acting more intensely on the equipment or the piping. Having this information can help in forecasting the corrosion rates, which consequently assists in the design of a better inspection and maintenance plan. This work presents a methodology based on the Fuzzy logic, to analyze which are the corrosion damages mechanisms that contribute most to the deterioration of the equipment and pipes in an oil platform.

Abstract: This research is entitled A DEIXIS ANALYSIS OF SONG LYRICS IN CALUM SCOTT “YOU ARE THE REASON”. The aims of the mini research is to analyze the kinds ofdeixisand the dominant deixis in song lyrics “you are the reason” by Calum Scott. The discussion began by taking the lyric “you are the reason” as a most popular song in this time. Deixis comes from classical Greek deiknunai. It means to show or point outwhich using to denote those elements in the utterance which for directly to the situation. The study in this paper concerns with the way in which the researcher explains he kinds of deixis and the dominant deixis which used in this lyric. Qualitative research was used as the method of the research. The data used to complete this study is song lyrics. From the data analysis taken from this lyric song, the researcher found in this song, there are 67 words include of kinds of deixis. From the data analysis the researcher found there are three kinds of deixis, they are Person deixis is used to point to objects (it, these, those books), all pronouns (I, you, we), possessives (your, our, their), Spatial deixis used to point to a location (here, there, close to). Temporal in dexicals are expressed in time adverbials like “now, soon, lately, recently, ago, today, tomorrow, yesterday” and the last is Temporal deixis used to point to a time (now, then, next week, last month). Finally, the researcher hopes this research will be useful to sharpen the reader in understanding about deixis.

Abstract: A bone scan is one of the most important diagnoses done using a gamma camera in nuclear medicine for detecting bone problems, such as cancer lesion, to find out if the cancers spread to the bones besides finding out how the metastases respond to chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment. Generally nuclear medicine images degraded by a large amount of noise, which is effecting on the resulting image. In this work we work we want to propose a combined enhancement algorithm based on fast Fourier transform and Sobel, for metastases whole-body bone scan image enhancement, to reduce the image noise, increase the image quality for better viewing and assist the nuclear medicine physician diagnosing images effectively. The proposed algorithm compared with existing enhancement algorithms such as histogram equalization, adaptive histogram equalization, log transformation and gamma correction. The algorithm applied to seven patients with bone metastases. It turns out that the proposed algorithm can help to improve the quality and visualization of the images. Our simulations show that the proposed algorithm removes the noise without significant blurring the structure of the image, increase the image quality and gives clear legions. The algorithms evaluated by calculating PSNR and RMSE. The proposed algorithm gives higher PSNR and lower RMSE.
