Abstract: Honey is defined as the natural sweet substance produced by honeybees. Honey consist mainly sugars but also contains some amounts of acids, phenolic contents, HMF (Hydroxyl Methyl Furfural), minerals and water. Honey adulteration is a global concern and developing countries are at higher risk associated with it due to lack of detection methods, awareness of people and policies. Honey adulteration occurs by direct addition of sucrose syrups that are produced from sugar beet, high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS), maltose syrup or by adding industrial sugar (glucose and fructose). Adulterants can be classified as intentional, unintentional, metallic and microbial based on type of adulterants in honey. Nowadays honey is being adulterated in more sophisticated ways that more difficult to detection of adulterants in simple methods. This paper presents a detailed review of common honey adulterants in honey as well as different methods to detect the adulterants both qualitatively and quantitatively. It also gives knowledge on awareness on honey adulterants, how adulterants are identified in quick methods including advanced recent techniques. Types of adulterants, reason and impact of adulterants are also included in this review. Honey composition is based on floral source which bees are collect nectar from and this make more difficult to detect adulterate in different honey.

Abstract: Pancreatic cancer (PC) is 1 of the deadliest cancers, representing the fourth leading cause of cancer death in the world; This high mortality is due to late symptom onset and because most of the cases of pancreatic cancer are stage IV at diagnosis, and hence not a candidate for curative resection. The following report will serve to emphasize the role of new-onset diabetes in certain patients as a warning sign necessitating further investigation for pancreatic cancer. It’ s about a 46-years old man was admitted in hospital «service of forensic and penitentiary medicine » for jaundice associated with progressive asthenia, abdominal pain, and weight loss. He had been diagnosed with diabetes 4 weeks earlier by his GP. Despite lifestyle changes, he had been commenced on metformin after just 2 weeks due to poor glycaemic control. Physical examination showed a mass of the upper right quadrant on palpation. Computed tomography of the abdomen showing a solid mass of 55 mm in the head of the pancreas, hypodense in particular, with mild Wirsung and bile ducts dilatation, and the focal thrombi is found at the level of the 9 mm splenomersaraic confluent, with hepatic secondary localization images. He was subsequently diagnosed with new-onset diabetes and metastatic pancreatic cancer. The treatment with basal insulin / bolus and anticoagulant therapy was instituted and after stabilization; the patient has been oriented for bilio-pancreatic derivation, and eventual biopsy in a specialized center, but unfortunately the patient died only a few weeks after. PC occurs with increased frequency in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2) which is considered the third modifiable risk factor for pancreatic cancer after cigarette smoking and obesity. Although numerous studies have linked both entities since 1833 the mechanism behind this association are complex and not well understood by the moment.

Purpose: To determine the differences between the effectiveness of chewing Pineapple and Star fruit to reduce dental plaque for children aged 10-12 years. Methods: This study used 60 peoples and divided into three groups namely the intervention group (I: chewed pineapple; II: chewed Star Fruit and III: brushes teeth as control group). Data was analyzed with non parametric Wilcoxon test and the Kruskal wallis test. Results: The plaque index before intervention were 0,73 + 0,18 on group I, 0,78 + 0,19 on group II, and 0,83 + 0,18 on group III. After intervention plaque index were 0,47 + 0,18 on group I, 0,64 + 0,19 on group II, and 0,36 + 0,23 on group III. A significant difference existed in each groups in the reduction of dental plaque index. Comparing between group there were a significant differences existed between groups but the biggest decrease diference of plaque index occurred after being treated for brushing teeth (group III). Conclusion: Treatment chewing pineapple and star fruits can decrease dental plaque but brushing teeth was more effective in reducing the dental plaque.

Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the improvement effect of the new advanced cancer nursing role on gastrointestinal cancer patients. Methods: 208 patients who were diagnosed as gastrointestinal cancer in The First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University from May 2016 to October 2019 were randomly assigned to intervention group and control group. The patients of two group received different nursing measure. In control group, the patients received traditional nursing services in the treatment process. Besides, the patients of intervention group received additional nursing services, such as the new advanced cancer nursing role. We collected the information of participants by questionnaires and patient record, such as patients' experience of coordination, quality of life (QoL) and supportive care resources. Moreover, we collected data using the following questionnaires; the Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire, QLQ-C30 and QLQ-INFO25 and also a study specific questionnaire. Result: In result of different groups, the participants of intervention group had better performance than that of control group (59.31±25.41 vs 55.66±24.12, 66.71±26.84 vs 67.61±26.38, 58.44±25.51 vs 50.97±25.13, 35.67±28.81 vs 29.87±27.14). In assessment of supportive care resources, only the result of second question had a lot of gap, which is ‘Did you get information about how to contact the health care provider outside office time?’ [57 (54.8%) vs 64 (61.5%)]. Conclusion: The improvement effect of the new advanced cancer nursing role is obvious for the patients. Besides, the perceived information status of intervention group was improved in the result.

Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the application of prospective nursing intervention in elderly patients undergoing gastrointestinal endoscopes. Methods: We invested 84 patients to join our study who undergoing gastrointestinal endoscopes. The participant’s age was higher than 60 years. The time of receiving gastrointestinal endoscopes is from March 2017 to September 2019. The control group participants receive traditional nursing model. In another group, the intervention group patients receive prospective nursing intervention, we provide suitable preventive nursing measures to the participants. Additionally, we use interview and questionnaires to collect the data from participants, the data include patient characteristics information, incidence of complications and inspection time of gastrointestinal endoscopes. Result: The data of Drop in blood pressure, Intestinal bloating and Abdominal pain is Statistical significance. The relative complications cases of intervention group were less than that of control group in overall [1 (2.4%) vs 4 (9.5%), 1 (2.4%) vs 3 (7.1%), 2 (4.8%) vs 5 (11.9%)]. In inspection time of gastrointestinal endoscopes, intervention group participants have better performance than that of control group, the intervention group has shorter Gastroscopy time and Colonoscopy time (15.62±1.56 vs 17.41±1.42, 24.89±2.77 vs 27.01±2.63). The data between the intervention group and control group is statistical significance. Conclusion: the prospective nursing intervention has strong influence to improve patient complications situation and reducing inspection time of gastrointestinal endoscopes.

Abstract: Intractable vomiting is a challenging complaint in pediatrics that is caused by many gastrointestinal and extragastrointestinal etiologies. Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) is one of the serious extragastrointestinal causes that could be overlooked due to non-orientation, atypical presentation, or misleading associated pathology. We present here an eleven-year-old female child with intractable vomiting due to IIH. The presence of concomitant Helicobacter pylori (H pylori) gastritis, which was not the cause of the vomiting, played a distraction factor away from the real cause. Moreover, the initial absence of the characteristic papilledema led to a delay in the IIH diagnosis. Treatment failure of H. pylori gastritis, especially when associated with headache, visual symptoms, and negativity of all other investigations, should direct attention to IIH even with the early absence of its characteristic papilledema.
