Psychosocial Support Risk Prioritisation Model [PSSRPM] for Orphaned and Vulnerable Children: A Case of the Kingdom of Eswatini

Abstract: The research was influenced by the growing demand for psychosocial support interventions owing to disintegrating family and community support systems and ineffective management of psychosocial support resulting from the effects of COVID-19 pandemic. The study analysed risk management in the Eswatini psychosocial support program for orphan and vulnerable children from a project management perspective. A self-administered questionnaire was distributed in one region where psychosocial support problems were most prevalent. The survey attracted 109 responses from caregivers, who are the face of psychosocial support service in the communities. Twelve risk indicators were analysed representing manpower, material, machine, and methods risks. Research results show that all the twelve risk indicators had moderate to very high probability of happening and the same risks could pose high to critical impact if they occurred. Respondents felt that COVID-19 caused significant change to four of the assessed risks, low change to seven risks and no change to one. This implies that the high probability and high impact of the assessed risks impeded the provision of psychosocial support in the country. The proposed way forward includes the implementation of project risk management strategies. This could include implementing the proposed psychosocial support risk prioritisation model and gaining new knowledge and information through research. The use of a model recognises the dynamic nature of project risk management. Therefore, the authorities need to continuously review and monitor psychosocial management processes and accommodate emerging issues such as COVID-19. Management must aim to eliminate complacency in psychosocial support delivery processes.

Abstract: Reading books helps to better understand the world we live in or the problem we are in, affects the development of critical and creative thinking, helps to achieve better family relationships, can move us to a completely different world, and we can see our own lives through the lives of other characters. Each story read can have several functions: mirror function, model function, mediator function, storage action, stories to help with regression. It has been proven that the effects of reading are numerous, and some of them are to alleviate stress, develop empathy, indicate that problems have alternative solutions, develop creativity, optimistic view of reality, influence the development of critical thinking, motivate.... This paper present the stories of people whose books have helped them solve life's adversities and overcome many prejudices, troubles and misunderstandings, and helped them in personal and social development. The results showed that books were a cure for divorce and partner problems, marital and family conflicts, lack of parenting skills, adolescent crisis, postpartum depression, traumatic experiences and domestic violence, loss and grief, behavioral disorders, addiction and eating disorders. Librarians have been educated by encountering such cases, so now they can also recommend books that are a "cure for the soul", books on certain topics to solve some life issues and doubts. Research in libraries in recent years shows that readers are increasingly turning to books to solve their problems, seeking help and support from librarians. Man's need to communicate with someone who tries to understand and help him has been extremely pronounced lately. Properly selected reading material has therapeutic value, especially when reading replaces negative emotions with positive ones. Bibliotherapy has obvious value in that it provides the opportunity for the participants to recognize and understand themselves, their characteristics, and the complexity of human thought and behavior. It may also promote social development as well as the love of literature in general, and reading in particular.

Abstract: Studies related to slavery but also to the contribution of Africans to American culture and population, for more than two decades, have allowed progress in the knowledge of these issues that, far from being secondary and anecdotal, point to a better knowledge of the social conditions that, in the Americas, they allowed the accumulation of capital. Despite the brutality of the slave system, the works have shown many aspects of the African community in America, precisely in Chile. In the case of this country, they received during the colonial era a large contingent of slaves from Argentina, Peru, etc ... this people was liberated and became a metis of the servile yoke in order to be visible. Then, after a long time they will be forced to hide you so as not to be punished. This is how they moved away from public spaces and big cities to become invisible. Today, they have struggled with many aspects of culture such as groupings, music produced by people deprived of liberty or subaltern, rhythms, songs and dances. These are elements that allowed the invisibility of the black population in Chile. So, in this article, the purpose is to know and analyze the process of disappearance and reappearance of Afro-descendants in Chile. Abstract: Background: COVID-19 appeared as a single case to a cluster of cases in Wuhan, China (Dec 2019), and with its continuous upsurge of case spread as global pandemic which has created enormous threat and tension across the global public health care field. This is an infectious disease of global health emergency and highest public health concern of 21st century due to its high-speed of spread. Method: This research focused article followed a secondary information, research and article search both published and unpublished to draw down, data, facts and grasp insights to the main theme which are described and narrated in this article. Result: The major findings, as shown in this article are the facts that, this disease caused high level of risk group mortality, high morbidity, health care services burden, panic anxiety, mental trauma, tension, social and economic insecurity. These are collectively surfaced by diverse range of social reaction and political pressure across the world. including socio economic and health status, population dynamics, health system and infrastructure, health behavioral pattern, nutrition, food habit, access to information and knowledge which made this viral disease more complex in its manifestation as COVID-19 syndrome and also become difficult to address. The case fatality rate distinctively varies with the population dynamics and the health system infrastructure of different countries. Conclusion: According to the Public health prevention practice and interventions, the common pictures of emerging characteristics and pattern of this viral disease, learning and sharing is vital to prevent this COVID-19 pandemic. However, the world communities are still eagerly waiting to see the result and outcome of the ongoing therapeutics and vaccine trial initiated in several countries to find a real world solution to this pandemic.

Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need for a means of enforcing a spatial distance between individuals, of 1 meter or more (depending on the health policy of each country). Despite some urgent initiatives, nothing has really been conclusive. Currently, some devices have been implemented but using technologies that threaten individual freedom, are complex to implement and expensive (fixed camera or mobile robots with artificial intelligence). Thus, the objective is to design a rapidly functional prototype free of these problems. This article proposes a spatial distancing equipment using sensors (transmitter / receiver) with ultrasounds already existing in the trade, thus respecting the regulation in force on the acoustic emissions. The use of 4 sensors, connected to an Arduino microcontroller, allows to cover an area around the person of 360 degrees. When one of the sensors emits an acoustic wave, only the other 3 listen, avoiding the effects of reverberations. So, if one of the 3 perceives a wave, it means that another similar device is emitting in a radius too close and therefore that the recommended distance is not respected. The user will be warned by a sound or light signal. The prototype designed was quickly functional, adaptable for distances ranging from 20cm to 4m depending on the desired distance, and inexpensive. On the other hand, it is for the moment rather bulky but in the case of a marketing is quite possible to miniaturize it.

Abstract: The Damagaram-Mounio region is one of the metallogenic provinces of Niger belonging to the Pan-African Mobile Zone where mining exploration began in 1903. Several exploration missions including geological mapping, hammer prospecting, geochemistry and airborne geophysics have been undertaken. Among others results termite geochemistry conducted between 1984 and 1985 have highlighted interesting targets of several minerals. More recently, from 2007 to 2010, high resolution airborne geophysical surveys, using Mag/Spectro in the Damagaram-Mounio Province, have allowed identification of mining targets, including target EM_1 which covers the southern part of the surveyed area by termite mounds geochemistry. The target EM_1 has also been explored by Mag/EM surveys. This study aims to reinterpret the termite mound geochemistry results in relation with high resolution airborne geophysical survey and satellite imageries data using more recent software dedicated to this purpose. The interpretation of the airborne geophysical data will allow characterizing the magnetic, spectrometric and electromagnetic contexts of the part of the target EM_01 where termite mounds was sampled. In addition, these results of high resolution airborne geophysical surveys will allow interpreting the structures, their orientations but also their spatial continuity to which can be associated the anomal grade values highlighted by the termite geochemistry. Indeed, it is known that termites build their mounds with water and materials that they seek at a depth of several tens of meters underground. In the Damagaram-Mounio Province, termites can only find water in the fracture zones of the Pan-African basement and of the "Younger Granites" Ring Complex.
