About This Special Issue
The edition "Musical Theory, Psychology, Pedagogy and Performing" provides space for exchange of ideas related to the musical art. The announced broad problematics integrates diverse issues in the field of musical theory, history, folklore, church music, psychology of music, composing, performance, perception, professional musical education, mass musical education.

In the era of globalization with particular sharpness stand out the issues of sustentation of the national identity, of exploring the traditions and worldviews of other nations, too. In this sense valuable are the attempts to be presented the Bulgarian folk musical art and performance with its refreshing diversity and catching vitality and also that of the professional Bulgarian composers' school.
Since in the difficult centuries of our history when our country has lost its sovereignty, powerful factors for the preservation of our nation were the musical folklore and the religion, in the edition this respect is reflected by considering issues of Orthodox church music.A problem of increasing significance is the school aggression. One way to counteract it is to acquire the ability to "adopt" of the others' feelings, to become empathic. This skill can be developed through music from early childhood.

The music of composers such as Bach and Mozart is so rich that in the 21st century we can still say something new about it. This is the subject of the articles, related to the interpretation of the works of Bach and to the parameters of the transcription for piano.
