About This Special Issue
Today in the linguistic studies literary texts containing multiple semantic structures are analyzed by various text analysis methods, and messages that the author wants to convey through the text are acquired. Text linguistics occurred as a result of the contemporary linguistic studies beyond sentence, is a practical method based on theoretical basis. It aims to address texts with formal, structural, semantic, and functional dimensions. In a text-linguistic study that has worked as a separate branch of linguistics since the 1970s, not only the sentences within the text, but also the relations between the linguistic units that form the text and the structure and function of the text as a whole have gained importance. With this understanding, it determines the criteria and rules that make text all kinds of linguistic fact. It investigates the relationships between the texts and the real facts they refer to and identifies multilayered semantic structures of texts.
