About This Special Issue

UX Research is a discipline that is still in its infancy, especially in the developing world. The way the different companies and industries are doing UX Research and the challenges they are facing is the focus of this special issue, as we move ahead in the UX Maturity scale. Both, approaches and values vary largely. Even when the company does have a strategy that supports and sometimes fosters UX Research, the organizational culture and the local cultures can jeopardize the strategy, if not handled in a proper way.

Aims and Scope:

To identify major challenges companies are facing when trying to implement UX Research practices
To disclose paths taken by current strong player and their approach for making it work.
To highlight major roadblocks and potential workarounds or solutions to overcome them
To identify points of significant influence from the organizations cultures that either enable or impede an effective UX Research practice.
