About This Special Issue
By age 60, half of all men will have an enlarged prostate, a condition also known as benign prostatic hyperplasia, or BPH. By age 85, the proportion reaches 90%. While BPH does not increase your risk of getting prostate cancer or having sexual problems, it can affect quality of life, specifically by causing annoying and embarrassing urination problems. A recent survey found that even though many older adults enjoy an active sex life, few talk about their sexual health with their doctor or other health care provider. It’s important to have an open line of communication because in general, sexuality changes over time, and many older men encounter problems that can interfere with performance, such as erectile dysfunction or problems with arousal, energy, and stamina.

Aims and Scope:

  1. sexual activity
  2. infertility
  3. impaction of enlarged prostate on sexual life
  4. impaction of diabetes, mellitus on sexual life
  5. impaction of HTN and cardiac diseases on sexual life
  6. ejaculatory disorder
