About This Special Issue
Neural stem cells (NSCs) can offer a regenerative resource for treating neurological and psychiatric diseases. In adult brain, endogenous neurogenesis provide the self-renewal power that could be harnessed for preventing neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. Enhancing neurogenesis in adult brain can also improve mood function and olfactory behaviors, which are impacted in depression. Implantation of neural stem cells could provide the regenerative power directly to required brain regions. Based on the importance of NSCs in clinical application, we would like to raise a special issue about neuro-regenerative therapy to neurological/psychiatric diseases. The special issue will collect 8 research articles and 2 review articles mainly involving with application in regulate stem cell neural differentiation, drug exploration in promoting neurogenesis and therapy in neural diseases, and other relative fields. Manuscripts relating in methods or principles with potential of clinical application will be required. 3 editors will be charge in collect manuscript in 12 months after approval of the issue. Thank you for considering our application.

Aims and Scope:

  1. Neurological diseases
  2. Psychiatric diseases
