About This Special Issue
Sexual dysfunction in women has been neglected world-wide. Due to fear of disclosure, shame and ignorance women do not seek medical advice. Even the doctors are not trained enough to ask, investigate and treat the problem. Sexual dysfunction could be a manifestation of a serious underlying disease. It could severely affect women’s quality of life and could be associated with physical and psychological problem. It does not affect the women alone but the partner is also affected leading to several other issue like marital discord, separation, anxiety, loneliness and depression. Since the problem is multifactorial and less investigated our knowledge to the exact prevalence, etiology and management is also less. This issue aims to provide platform to researchers to publish their work in this filed and to guide other physicians, gynecologist, urologist, urogynecologist about the basic workup. investigation and management of the problem.
