About This Special Issue
Natural and industrial Pozzolans have initiated dramatical change in many Civil Engineering applications including concrete technology, cement industry, soil mechanic, energy and material, environmental engineering and sustainable development. Recently, the progress of technology lead to introduce nano particles of pozzolans for production of high performance concretes. However, difference between application of nano particles of natural and industrial pozzolans is not well invented.

Aims and Scope

The special issue is to open a new window for nano pozzolans in order to distinct the quality differences between chemical reactions of industrial and natural pozzolans. The special issue attempts to concentrate on nano preparation processes. In this view, economic considerations, easy access for material and preparation, methodology and performance distribution of nano pozzolans in structure and industry. The special issue also focuses on material characterization techniques for quality and quantity products. To provide good insight on some microstructural features of produced material and understand the kinetics of hydration during pozzolanic reactions, employment of various modern analytical methods and techniques must be integrated.
