About This Special Issue
Human life is increasingly becoming grossly mechanical, artificial and materialistic. Across the world, globalization and industrialization are altering not only the pattern of everyday life but also shaping the micro-level contexts such as home, school, and work setting. Inappropriate behavioral alterations (e.g. unhealthy dietary habits, intake of fast food, irregular sleep, less physical activity etc.) are emerging as matter of key concern for academia and health agencies. There are many pertinent issues worth of research endeavors including conceptualization of life style, theoretical models of life style and health, underlying mediators and mechanisms responsible for effect of life style on health and well-being. This special issue will focus on theoretical issues of life, evaluating relationship of life style with health and well-being, life style interventions for promoting health and well-being, gaining insights on how feasibility of life style interventions can be improved. This special issue invites submissions of articles covering psychological studies related to life style. Review, empirical, and conceptual are welcome.
