About This Special Issue
This special issue expected issues related to Knowledge, belief and practice on Malay Medicine. The issues expect coverage of safety and efficacy, scientific evidence and clinical trial, and other related issues to Malay Medicine. Review articles are also accepted. Malay medicine has been practice and gain acceptance in Malaysia and Asian country. However the word Malay Medicine does not exist in Traditional practitioner terms. Malay medicine is grouped under Islamic Medicine which is far than correct. This issue aims to increase awareness and sharing thought on Malay Medicine which is popular in certain part of the world but it is not group in any TCM practice. Research on Malay Medicine is not well established and needed further clarification on certain issues. We welcome researchers from any part of the world to contribute comments, thought and evidence on Malay Medicine and do certain treatment comparison to evaluate its effectiveness. Many traditional treatments in Malaysian and some parts of world community originate from Malay treatment, but the hierarchy, the hereditary of Malay medicine, remains unclear. We need more thought on this issue.
