About This Special Issue
Knowledge integration and management models are enormously vital to guarantee successful national development of any economy and society. The approaches involve the process of including novel information into an existing body of knowledge applying several approaches. The processes entail the determination of how new information and the existing knowledge interrelate with each other, how existing body of knowledge should be made to other to accommodate new information, and how new information should be structured to reflect existing knowledge. ICT scholars (e.g., Agabi, Agbor & Ololube, 2015) beliefs that ICT has a lot to offer towards knowledge integration and creation. However, most governments worldwide have failed to deliver on that front in line with international best practices, because a great deal of time and efforts has been and is still endowed in developing policy guidelines, instead of effective implementation of ICT programmes aimed at elevating and positioning nations in the global academic community.
