About This Special Issue
Progress in new information technologies and communication has pushed humans to imagine intelligent cities. These cities will allow quick and easy access to information, they will also facilitate household chores, save and master the consumption of energy. There would be more green spaces and less pollution. Lately most of the countries are making great efforts to build smart cities. The achievement of this goal requires the latest equipment and infrastructure. The installation of connected sensors, smart grids and computer applications will be necessary to analyze all the data collected. This analysis will help decision makers taking precautions to deal with the different problems that can appear as emerging diseases.
