About This Special Issue
Non-invasive or minimally invasive imaging techniques represent a quantum leap in the analysis of various physical, biological and chemical constituents. The use of spectroscopy allows these samples to be analyzed without affecting the samples themselves, thus preserving important internal processes and mechanisms. This is especially important dealing with living cells or tissue cultures or sensitive biochemical processes, or with chemical processes that are sensitive to environmental changes. With the rapid advancement in the fields of biology, biochemistry and medicine, the need for imaging becomes ever more critical, allowing researchers and practitioners to understand reactions and behaviors without affecting them.

We invite investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review articles that will stimulate the continuing efforts to explore new techniques and methods of minimal and non-invasive imaging, their applications and potentials. We are particularly interested in articles that describe new and novel imaging techniques, utilizing both physical and computational approaches, as well as the characterization and analysis of results. Image processing techniques, including the use of artificial intelligence are also of interest. Experimental studies obtained from non-invasive imaging are also a key area of attention, and potential applications and theoretical studies are also welcome.
