About This Special Issue
Sarcoidosis is a commonly seen interstitial lung disease and lung cancer is most the common cancer in smokers. There are several reports published in the past describing some association between sarcoid like reaction (granulomatous inflammation) and lung cancer. It is not clearly known about the causal relationship whether sarcoidosis is coexisting inflammatory reaction in lung cancer or a risk factor for development of lung cancer. The issue will cover all the research and case reports published in relation to sarcoidosis in association with lung cancer.
Aims and Scope:
- Sarcoidosis
- Non-caseating granulomatous inflammation
- Non-small cell lung cancer
- Small cell lung cancer
- Lung nodules
- Bronchogenic malignancy
