Study on the Infinity of Twin Primes by Applying Sundaram’s Sieve Method

Abstract: Up to now, around the world, Dr. Zhang Yitang from the University of New Hampshire offers the best research results of the infinity of twin primes. In 2013, Dr. Zhang proved the infinity of twin primes that are 70,000,000 apart and received the 2014 Frank Nelson Cole Prize in Number Theory. This study suggests new ways to find prime numbers, twin primes, and triplet primes by applying Sundaram’s Sieve Method and finds the general solution and character of the an+b subset of matrix 2xy+x+y. Besides, by studying the problem that 3n+2 is not the subset of K∪L with three methods, the author finds the way to prove the infinity of twin primes and detailed proofs are presented in this paper. It offers new way to study triplet primes and n-plet primes conjectures.

Abstract: The Adaptive Control is an important course for the postgraduate students of Control Science and Engineering. However, in the teaching it is found that there exist some problems: large amount of theoretical formulas, lack of study interests for students, difficulties in learning, poor effect of study, etc. Aiming at these problems, combined with the opinions gathered from the students, this paper tries to analyze the reasons that lead to these problems, and then tries to provide some suggestions on the teaching reform of this course in four aspects, such as the contents selection of this course, the ways of teaching, etc. The attempts of seminar-style teaching in the Adaptive Control course are mainly discussed as well. This work also provides a reference for the teaching reforms of related strong theoretical post-graduate student courses.

Abstract: In order to examine the mediating effect of teenagers’ resilience between psychological overrun and learning burnout, 305 teenagers were monitored on self-made psychological overrun scale, learning burnout scale and psychological resilience scale. Research results show: (1) significant positive correlation was found between psychological overrun and learning burnout among teenagers; significant positive correlation was found between psychological resilience and learning burnout among teenagers; the correlation between psychological resilience and learning burnout among teenagers was negative; (2) Resilience had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between psychological overrun and learning burnout among teenagers. This study validated the joint effects of teenagers’ resilience, psychological overrun and learning burnout on the reduction of adolescents’ burdens. It has a certain guiding significance for adolescents to improve their academic burdens and reduce learning burnout from a psychological perspective.
